Director and Founder of Chasing Rainbows Australia
Chasing Rainbows Australia was founded by Matt Bowen and Mike Wheaton in 2006.
As a youth with a passion for social justice, Matt quickly learnt that his desire was not unique. In fact, it was the overwhelming response from his peers when he pitched the idea of a social justice association that sparked the establishment of Chasing Rainbows Australia in 2006. Armed with a good idea, a business case and worthy project in mind, Matt pitched the idea to the Western Sydney University who were only too happy to fund the establishment of the Association.
Since 2006 very little has changed. Chasing Rainbows is true to its mantra and continues to offer volunteering opportunities to enthusiastic youth. The projects are predominantly based across the Western Sydney region and focuses on the development of educational potential for children with a challenging or migrant background.
